You may think that just because you've decided that it's time to implement lanyard usage, the tough decision is made. There are actually many options available to completely customize your lanyards. After you've decided that custom lanyards are the way to go for your needs, begin looking at the different options that are available to you. Lanyards come in a wide variety of widths, from 1/4" up to 3".
The standard length is 35" to 36", but there are sources that will custom cut to fit your specific needs. You also have the choice of material: polypropylene, vinyl, polyester or cotton. There are endless color choices, for both the material and the printing, depending on the supplier that you choose. Another option that is often available is double-sided printing.
After you have selected the basics for your custom lanyards, there are still options to make them uniquely yours. You will need to consider which type of attachment will work best for your needs. Choose from swivel clasp or swivel hook or bulldog clip. You have the option of D-ring or key ring type attachments. You may choose to include a PDA or cell phone strap on your custom lanyards, or decide that a water bottle holder attachment will work for you.
But wait... there's more! You may want to consider a breakaway-type lanyard, depending on the environment in which they are to be used, if safety issues are of concern. Choose from snap or Velcro type. Some suppliers offer buckles-either straight or swivel.
With all the options available to you, it is possible to piece together custom lanyards that are totally unique to you!
